Digital Marketing Internship

(20 hours a weekly, flexible scheduling, January – May 2019)

Position Summary

United Way of Central Indiana recognizes that the key to success is a strong and cohesive team that works through shared values to achieve our mission. The Digital Marketing Intern is a member of the marketing & engagement team and will be an integral part of promoting United Way through digital channels (email, website and social media). Additionally, the Digital Marketing Intern will play a key role in pulling analytics to inform the marketing and communications team on digital recommendations and opportunities.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Basic proficiency in content management systems and social media management tools
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (or Adobe Creative Cloud) a plus
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel), Google Apps (e.g., Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive).
• Assist in building and maintaining United Way's social media presence and campaigns
• Write copy and send email marketing campaigns
• Assist in managing digital content calendar
• Provide reports and analysis for email and digital ad campaigns
• Identify digital trends and insights
• Ability to excel in a highly detail-oriented and fast paced environment
• Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; address stressful situations with poise, understanding and tact
• Written and verbal communication skills

Education and/or Experience

Currently enrolled in an accredited higher education program with at least a sophomore level status in marketing, communication, marketing research or related area of study.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly, 20 hours weekly, Temporary, Flexible Schedule
Salary Range: $13.00 Hourly
