Position Summary

The Manager of Corporate Engagement will advance the mission of United Way of Central Indiana by developing, retaining and significantly growing thenumber of donors, corporate partners, and overall level of financial support and commitment to United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI).Efforts include maintaining and developing of relationships assigned, identify viable opportunities for involvement within UWCI and work closely with the account to plan, organize, and implement employee giving and engagement opportunities year-round. This position is responsible for maintaining and continuously developing relationshipswith key constituents at various levels within assigned corporate accounts within TEAM VISIO. The Manager of Corporate Engagement will identify viable opportunities for additional involvement with UWCI and strategically integrate other fundraising team members in these opportunitiesThey willidentify viable opportunities for involvement within UWCI and work closely with the account work closely with these constituents to plan, organize and implement employee giving, engagement opportunities year-round,and other United Way activities to ensure a successful, stronger and sustained United Way commitment. This position is also responsible for achieving annual fundraising goals and growth in engagement of donors and corporate efforts in their assigned portfolio within TEAM VISION 

 

Position Duties & Responsibilities 

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.   

Fundraising & Engagement:Achieve corporate fundraising goal and maintain & grow corporate relationships 

  • Promote various year-round sponsorship and engagement activities to help increase donor awareness and overall involvement within UWCI. 

  • Manage year-round engagement activities with corporate partners and individual donors 

  •  In conjunction with internal partners, develop and implement strategies to grow the revenue generated from assigned corporate partner accounts.  

  • Manage and nurture assigned accounts to develop stronger UWCI relationships, commitment and employee giving support.  

  • Maintain consistent account contact and creatively explore and introduce additional UWCI opportunities, as appropriate (i.e., volunteerism, sponsorships, etc.).   

  • Leverage data to provide strategic, targeted account management and excellent customer service, leading to long-term strategic plans with aggressive goals.   

  • In coordination with TEAM VISIONIndividual Giving Manager, identify, cultivate and steward a portfolio of individual donors within assigned accounts.  Achieve donor call expectations (50 annually) and annual financial goals. 

  • Oversee assigned project completion 

  • Ensure appropriate information is tracked and updated within SCRMin a timely manner 

  • Internal Relationships: Workwith UWCI's Community Impact and Fundraising team to identify, develop and implement opportunities to communicate community impact work and UWCI goals to constituents.  Be knowledgeable about UWCI's work in Central Indiana and be an effective and compelling communicator of the same to advance engagement and brand value.   

  • Relationships: Develop and maintain regular contact with corporate account representatives and corporate account leadership within assigned portfolio.  Identify and communicate with appropriate UWCI team members regarding opportunities to leverage these relationships more broadly.   

  • Annual Goals: Achieve established goals for annual fundraising, engagement, and donor calls. Work with Senior Manager of Engagement for TEAM VISION to ensure goals reflect, align and contribute to the broader goals of the organization.   

  •  Flexibility:  UWCI is evolving with our changing external environment.  Flexibility is a key attribute for this position.  A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the success of the team is essential.Performs special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.  
  • This role requires routine travel up to 50% of the time.

This individual Routinely solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

This individual makes day-to-day and/or daily decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require thought and are structured.  Decisions tend to be short term (one year or less) and usually moderate to high cost. 

 

Education and/or Experience 

Bachelor's degreerequired.Experience in fundraising, public administration, sales, marketing or business administration is preferred.Fundraising Executive Certification (CFRE) is preferred. 2-4 years of related experience is required.Knowledge of the central Indiana community and the human service sector is preferred.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong reputation for integrity and professionalism, ability to resolve conflict constructively, ability to build strong relationships both inside and outside UWCI, ability to think strategically, commitment to fostering an inclusive environment consistent with UWCI's commitment to diversity and inclusion.  Must have the ability to prepareandexplain performance, manage a diverse group of donors and volunteers, manage projects and workload, and engage constructively with the other members of the UWCI team.
